Kazakhstan – A French Pavilion at the Hydrocarbons Salon in Almaty

Sept 24. ISRIA

Ubifrance, the French agency for the international expansion of companies, will open a French pavilion on the occasion of the KIOGE 2009, Hydrocarbons Salon in Kazakhstan, which will be held in Almaty on October 5, 2009.

The Kazakh market boasts many real opportunities for equipment suppliers or services companies which will be able to be placed in time. From 2015, Kazakhstan could be propelled into 5th world rank position of oil producers (120 to 130 million tons estimated per annum). The investments which accompany these developmental perspectives are estimated at 150 million USD for the 10 next years. Numerous projects are being studied to develop the resources of Kazakhstan – among them the construction of new ways of transporting oil to the West or to emerging markets in Asia, or the development of downstream industries (refining and petrochemical).

The Kazakhtan Oil and Gas Exhibition is a not-to-be-missed rendezvous for French companies of the oil sector which have the capacities to fulfill the high technical requirements inherent in the difficult local exploitation conditions.
