Kazakhstan climbs up to 50 place in Doing Business rankingIn the World Bank and IFC’s Doing Business 2014 survey Kazakhstan has risen from 53 to 50 position in the list of 189 countries, according to the World Bank, Kazinform refers to http://primeminister.kz/.

Over a year Kazakhstan has achieved positive results in areas such as building permits (moved up 4 places to the 145th position), registration of property (moved up 9 places to 18th position) and resolving (moved up 1 place to 54th position).

The leader of the global ranking on the ease of doing business is Singapore. Also, the list of 10 countries with the most favorable business-friendly regulatory environments are Hong Kong SAR, New Zealand, the United States, Denmark, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Georgia, Norway and the United Kingdom.

Among the former Soviet republics Georgia maintains a leading position (8th place), followed by Lithuania (17th place), Estonia (22) , Latvia (24) , Armenia (37), Kazakhstan (50) , Belarus (63), Kyrgyzstan (68), Azerbaijan (70), Moldova (78). Below Russia are Ukraine (112), Tajikistan (143), Uzbekistan (146).
