Ambassadors assuming the functions

Ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic, Georgia, Mongolia, China and Finland presented their credentials to Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The President congratulated the ambassadors on the start of the diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that their work will focus on building confidence and mutual understanding, maximum disclosure of the bilateral cooperation potential. These are ambassadors of Slovakia Peter Juza, of GeorgiaZurab Pataradze, Mongolia- Jagir Sekhee, of China Le Yuycheng and Finland- Ilkka Raisanen.
The President noted that Kazakhstan is going through a challenging phase in independent development, implementing the Strategy throughout the year 2050 and a number of momentous projects of international scale.
– Kazakhstan market opportunities multiply through its membership in the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space with Russia and Belarus.
Among the new economic priorities in Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev said, is attraction of advanced technologies for the development of renewable and alternative energy sources. New conception for transition to «green» economy has been approved, which is attuned to the theme of EXPO -2017 «Future Energy» that Astana will be hosting.
The President also stressed that the on-going scaled modernization in the country involves not only the economic but also the political dimension. The country is addressing pressing regional and global challenges, sharing in Afghanistan recovery, settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue, supporting the progressive international initiatives and contributing to global and regional security
Cooperation with China is a priority vector in the foreign policy of our country, which is built on strategic partnership, Nursultan Nazarbayev said, believing that the upcoming first state visit to Kazakhstan of President Xi Jinping will further strengthen the mutual trust and understanding.
Much importance is attached to the development of comprehensive cooperation with Mongolia, with which political dialogue has been established, interagency and parliamentary contacts are developing. It is necessary to intensify the cultural and humanitarian cooperation as well. — I believe that recent presidential elections in Mongolia will give a new impulse to our bilateral cooperation,» the President stressed.
Our country is interested in developing bilateral relations with Georgia as an important trading and political partner — the President went on. – The top interest areas are development of transit- transport potential, contract-legal framework, expansion of trade, economic and cultural ties.
Finland is viewed in Kazakhstan as a promising partner in the European Union, an evidence of maintaining dialogue with which was the state visit of the President of Finland Sauli Niinist? to Kazakhstan in April this year. We are interested in active participation of Finnish companies in the projects related to the development of innovation and high technologies.
Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed to the need to fully unlock the cooperation potential with the Slovak Republic, namely in the implementation of joint projects in mechanical engineering , energy, transport and communications infrastructure , construction, metallurgy , chemical industry.
In conclusion, he re-emphasized the importance and responsibility of the ambassadors’ mission and wished them a fruitful work in the hospitable Kazakhstan.
