Kazakh paralympic swimmers sets new world record, grabs silver in Montreal

Member of Kazakhstan’s National Paralympic Team and international master of sport Zulfiya Gabidullina won silver medal in Women’s Freestyle 50m race at the 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal.
In the heat Gabidullina set the world record showing the best result of 0:47:40. The previous world record was set by Xia Jiangbo of China in London on September 7, 2012.
Montreal, Canada is hosting the 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships between 12 and 18 August. Over 650 of the world’s best swimmers from more than 60 countries came to compete at Montreal 2013. This is the first largest international sports event after the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
