WEEKLY REVIEW: Kazakh Cabinet intends to continue encouraging machine-building industry’s further development

This week the Government focused on the issues of engineering industry, the implementation of governmental programs in the regions, the state of scientific sphere and the efficient use of land and other resources.
On Monday, August 5, Serik Akhmetov, Kazakh Prime Minister, held a meeting with members of the Engineering Workers Guild of Kazakhstan. During the round table the sides discussed the issues of the current situation and prospects of further development of the industry.
Albert Rau, the first Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies, speaking at the meeting said that the sphere had positive dynamics of growth, however, there was great potential for more rapid enhancement.
Prime Minister instructed the Ministry and the Engineering Workers Guild to work on the issues of development of the design bureau for electrical products and cost-recovery mechanism for new types of machinery products’ elaboration.
On Tuesday, August 6, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to Aktobe region.
During the trip Sagintayev visited Alga district, where he inspected the cattle complex “AkTep” LLP and “Aiym A” driving school, which were funded by “Business Road Map-2020” program . In addition, he got acquainted with “Kazchrome” JSC.
On the same day Kairbek Uskenbayev, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, had a meeting in Kyzylorda on the establishment of the Unified state urban cadastre.
On Friday, Murat Orunkhanov, Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, made a speech at the II Meeting of overseas students’ organizations of Kazakhstan reporting on the current situation in the field of science. According to his words, nowadays about 45% of the scientific publications from Kazakhstan are quoted in the world.
On the same day a meeting of Collegium of Ministry for Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place. The talks discussed the results of the department activity for the first half of 2013, the progress of sectoral programs implementation, the issues of developing a single urban cadastre, the integration of automated information system of state land cadastre etc.
In the second half of the day at a ceremony in the media-center in honor of builders’ holiday the Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has congratulated workers of the construction industry on their professional holiday.
