Kazakh Thai boxers become European champions


Kazakh Thai boxers become European championsVadim Loparev and Elaman Sayasatov from Kazakhstan have become champions of Europe on Muay Thai (Thai boxing), according to the website Vesti.kz.

The tournament was held in Lisbon (Portugal) performing not only adult sportsmen but juniors as well. Young athletes won five medals including the golden one. Elaman Sayasatov from Atyrau became the champion in the category up to 45 kilograms.

Another three boxers, Abylai Kuralbaev (48 kilos), Raiymbek Sembek (60 kilos) and Olzhas Kalizhanov (71 kilos) reached the finals but lost to their rivals and became silver medalists. Kuanish Sauatov, another citizen of Kazakhstan, (75 kilos) received a bronze.

Vadim Loparev, weight category up to 75 kilos, aquired a title of champion. Four Loparev’s teammates took second place: Ishan Galiyev (54 kilos), Aman Kabdollayev (57 kilos), Tahir Agishev (63.5 kilos) and Rustem Akzhanov (71 kilos). The bronze medal went to Rustem Ashimbayev (67 kilos).

Last Spring Kabdollaev became the silver medalist of the World Championship.

It bears to remind that in early July Emil Umayev, another Muay Thai fighter from Kazakhstan, won the Asian Indoor Games.
