Asian Championship winners will represent Kazakhstan at World Boxing

“We had a systematic preparation before the tournament. At the upcoming World Championship where we will face a new task. With such a close-knit team we will again surpass the plan. And at the Olympics, instead of two gold medals, we want to get, at least three “golds”, said Aitzhanov.
According to him, the team has made some progress, but that is no reason to stop: athletes will begin preparations for the Almaty world championship, where the coach is planning to invite eight of ten sportsmen who took part in the continental tournament. NOTE: As per Asian championship’s results Kazakh national team confidently took the first place, winning seven gold and one silver medals. Seven boxers became the champions of Asia – Temirtas Zhusupov (up to 49 kilos), Berik Abdrakhmanov (up to 60 kilos), Merey Akshalov (up to 64 kilos), Daniyar Yeleusinov (up to 69 kilos), Janibek Alimhanuly ( up to 75 kilos), Anton Pinchuk (up to 91 kilos) and Ivan Dychko (over 91-kilos). Adilbek Niyazymbetov, to 81 kilogram weight category, took the second place.
