Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan reached $ 390 million in 2012Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Erbolat Dosaev with his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev took part in the business forum in Aktau, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry reposrts. The sides have taken into consideration prospects for further cooperation between the two countries and implementation of joint business projects.

Opening the event in Aktau Erbolat Dosaev noted that by the end of 2012 the volume of trade between our countries reached 390 million dollars. Exports of Kazakh products to Azerbaijan for 2012 amounted to 349.1 million dollars, which is 46% more than in 2011. Imports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan estimated $ 41.6 million

Kazakh Minister also informed the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs about the investment climate in the country and the general prospects of the Customs Union for carrying out joint projects. In Kazakhstan among the CU and the CES is the lowest tax burden on business – 12%. While in Belarus it is 20%, in Russia – 18%.

Investors should take into account not only the 17 millionth market of the CU, but also the possibility of constructing transport corridor called “Western Europe – Western China”. Highway will allow for not only the delivery of goods between the markets of Europe and Asia, but also promotion of products produced in Kazakhstan to the markets of third countries.

The two ministers also visited “Seaport Aktau” special economic zone, where they became acquainted with the activities of the area.

During the forum has also been signed a memorandum on cooperation between Akimat of Mangistau region and the Foundation for promotion of exports and investments in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan may establish a logistics centers in the western regions of Kazakhstan.

This issue was discussed during the meeting between the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dosayev in Aktau on Wednesday.

The sides discussed the issues of expansion of cooperation in economy, in particular, the expansion of economic relations between Azerbaijan and western regions of Kazakhstan as well as promotion of business relations between entrepreneurs of the two countries, the head of Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Economic Development Abbas Aliyev told Trend.

The issues of mutual cooperation were also discussed during the meeting of the Azerbaijani delegation with the Governor of Mangistau region Alik Aydarbaev.

On Wednesday, Aktau also hosted the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Forum, which was attended by businessmen of the two countries, representing industry sectors, in particular food, agriculture, construction, tourism and others.
