“Adilet” and “Rukhaniyat” parties are uniting.
The decision to merge was taken yesterday at the extraordinary congresses of the political associations, attended by the delegates from oblast and city branches. Thus, the political map of Kazakhstan has got a new player – the “Birlik” party.
Legal formalities are yet ahead, but the main thing is that the consensus among the party members has been reached. Serik Sultangali was elected the chairman of the new political force.
The newly elected chairman said the merger decision was unanimous. It will lead to its enlargement (about 140 000-strong) and the party members are to complement each other’s activities. As known “Rukhaniyat” party promoted revival of culture and “Adilet” was traditionally strong in legal area, and together, the joined forces can do much more for the country. Of course, it opens up new opportunities for the next Majilis election campaign.
Preparatory work for the merger lasted two months when organizational and legal aspects were specified.
The initiative on the merger belongs to the “Adilet” party, and is prompted by the need to strengthen positions especially as the political movements have similar goals and tasks.
– We have come to the decision to unite forces and enter the political arena with a new name and new opportunities, – said the deputy chairman of “Birlik” Tolegen Sydyhov.
It is understandable that the new organization will continue the courses of “Adilet” and “Rukhaniyat”. The priority direction is implementation of the Strategy “Kazakhstan-2050”, raising the quality of life in Kazakhstan and its ranking among 30 top world nations. There is also a range of new tasks, set by the President at the twentieth session of Kazakhstan People’s Assembly. Being together means to be stronger, the party members believe.
Emergence of the new competitive player is a natural process of democratization of party life after the parliamentary elections in 2012. Political analysts believe that “Birlik” is able to contribute to further economic, legal, and cultural development of our republic.
