Kazakhstan presents its tourism attractions at Berlin fair

Some Kazakh tourism companies are presenting the country’s attractions at ITB Berlin 2012 exhibition, the Kazakh National Agency for Export and Investment Kaznex Invest under Industry and New Technologies Ministry reported on Thursday.
Six Kazakh tourism companies including Sayat, Kochevnik, Nomadic Travel Kazakhstan, Complete Service, tour operator 7su Avia and hotel Rixos Lake Borovoe hotel got an opportunity to present their inbound tourism to foreign consumers at the exhibition. Their participation, rental, travel and accommodation expenses were paid by Kaznex Invest.
“Starting this year, Kaznex Invest intends to promote the tourism companies providing foreign tourists with the services. So the Agency will support travel service exporters such as travel agencies, airlines, hotels and resorts, which are promoting Kazakhstan as a destination for foreign tourists,” Kaznex Invest said.
Some more travel companies will take part in international tourism fairs by the end of the year within this program.
ITB Berlin is the biggest world event in the tourism industry. It runs March 6 – 10 this year. The exhibition is expected to host around 170,000 guests, among them 100,000 travel and tourism experts.
Kaznex Invest is one of Kazakhstan’s national development institutions designed to promote diversification of the national economy by creating more favorable conditions for development and advancement of Kazakhstan’s non-primary commodity exports and foreign direct investment in priority sectors of the economy.
