Kazakhstan is in the top 3 most hard-hearted countries, Gallup international public opinion agency reports. Singapore tops the list with only 36 percent of people experiencing around 10 emotions (negative or positive) a day.
Georgia and Lithuania share the second position with 37 percent. The third line is shared by several “cool” countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Madagascar, Ukraine, Belarus, Nepal and Kyrgyzstan.
Only 38 percent of the respondents were tagged emotional in Kazakhstan, as well as in the above listed countries.
The most emotional countries are Philippines (60 percent), El Salvador (57 percent), Bahrain (56 percent), Oman and Columbia (55 percent each), Chile, Costa Rica, Canada, Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Nicaragua and the United States (54 percent each).
To find out the emotional background, the sociologists personally or by phone interviewed people of over 15 y.o. in over 150 countries. The survey was held for two years – from 2009 to 2011. It took the experts a year to process the data.
