Kazakh President lays capsule for construction of Abu Dhabi Plaza in Astana

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has laid the capsule at the construction site of Abu Dhabi Plaza multifunctional complex in Astana today. “This complex will beautify the city. It is a very important project”, the Head of the State said.
As reported earlier, the agreement on construction of this complex between the governments of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates was ratified on July 7, 2009. The project is realized by “Aldar EvroAsia” LLC. The author of the Abu Dhabi Plaza in Astana is famous British architect Norman Foster.
According to the data presented by the Astana Akimat, the complex will consist of several towers around an 88-storeyed 382-meter high office tower. It will consist of 450 flats, two hotels, parking for 4,500 cars. The complex is planned to be connected by monorail track with the Astana airport. The assessed cost of the project amounts to USD 1 billion. The construction of the first stage is planned to be finished in September 2013, the second one – December 2014.
