New director of Batumi Oil Terminal appointed

On December 12th, 2012, based on a decision by “KazTransOil” company, Talgat Baitaziyev was appointed General Director of Batumi Industrial Holding and an appropriate group of companies. Talgat Baitaziyev has great experience in being a top management official as well as experience in the oil and gas industry, the terminal said.
The previous director, Abay Turikpenbayev, will continue his professional career in KazMynayGas in Astana.
Talgat Baitaziyev was born on 15th July 1966 in Atyrau.
He graduated from Atyrau Oil and Gas Institute.
He worked as an official representative of NOC “KazakhOil” at “Atyrau Oil Refinery” from 1998 – 2002, inspector of the President at “Atyrau Oil Refinery” from 2002 – 2003, Deputy General Director and “TH Kazmunaygas” from 2003-2004. He was Commercial Director of the “Atyrau Oil Refinery” from April until July of 2004 and General Director of “Atyrau Oil Refinery” from July 2004 – 2012.
He has been rewarded with the “Kurmet” medal and a certificate of merit from President of Kazakhstan, and the “Atameken” medal.
The Batumi Sea Port is situated in the South-East part of the Black Sea in South-Western Georgia. In February, 2008, the subsidiary of the Kazakh National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas – KazTransOil, acquired the right to long-term management of Batumi Sea Port, and it also purchased the Batumi Oil Terminal.
