December 13. KASE
Rating agency “Expert RA Kazakhstan” has affirmed the reliability rating of APF Astana at А+ “Very high level of reliability”.
The positive impact on the rating level is made by a quick growth of pension accumulations (a 54% increase over 12 months, as of October 1), low risk of the Fund losing liquidity, a positive balance of transfers (for 9 months 2012 the balance made up KZT33 bn), relatively high liquidity and diversification of the investment portfolio.
“The Fund demonstrates a positive dynamics of main financial indicators which allows it to keep the current high rating. An important factor of competitiveness is the high yield of the Fund. K2 (12) as of October 1 made up 5.08% with the average value of 3.03%. With regard to the yield the Fund continuously exceeds the average market figures” – points out the expert of “Expert RA Kazakhstan” Vasilij Kalabin.
Impeding factors are the relatively low level of equity sufficiency (as of October 1, 2012 К1=0.046), and relatively high level of portfolio risk (74.2%).
APF Astana was established in 2011 by amalgamation of Eurasian accumulative pension fund and APF Amanat. The Fund operates across the entire country. According to FSC as of October 1, 2012 the Fund’s pension accumulations made up KZT189.7 bn, pension contributions made over 9 months – KZT20.1 bn, equity – KZT7.1 bn.
