Eurasian Bank (Kazakhstan) is the Bank of the Year in Kazakhstan according to The BankerEurasian Bank (Almaty), bonds of which are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the following press release of November 29, 2012:

Eurasian Bank received a Bank of the Year in Kazakhstan Award from The Banker, a reputable financial magazine. The Banker, a UK-based monthly focusing on the financial and banking sector, was founded in 1926 and currently is one of the most prestigious international magazines.

The year was a success for the Eurasian Bank and the awards from three respectable financial magazines for its accomplishments in 2012 are yet another proof of that: Best Bank in Kazakhstan by Euromoney, Best Retail bank in Kazakhstan by Asian Banking & Finance and Bank of the Year by The Banker. The trifecta of awards was realized.

The Bank of The Year award goes to the most dynamic banking institutions successfully addressing the requirements of the market and demonstrating growth despite the volatile global economy. Other important assessment criteria were innovations and economic efficiency. The title is awarded to banks for stable growth rates, contribution to the banking sector in their regions and high quality of customer products and service.

According to the 10 – month financial result, YoY Loan Portfolio of the Bank increased by 40,6% to KZT 375,3 bln and Net Profit of the Bank raised to KZT 7,5 bln demonstrating a 59,7% growth. Client base grew by 49,5% from 1 November 2011 to 1 November 2012 (the number of client accounts increased from 519 thousand to 776 thousand). YtD NIM gained 30,2% reaching 6,9% and ROE was 23,8%.

This year the network of the bank was expanded by 55 new outlets with convenient working hours. Striving to offer the best quality and comfort to the clients the bank has rolled out a network of terminals and multi-purpose ATMs. By the end of next year the platform of the bank will be increased to 20 branches and over 150 outlets.
