Potential of Italian Business

Italy extends cooperation and establishes new business contacts with Kazakhstan: representatives of more than 50 Italian companies paid a business visit to Almaty.
Undergoing the crisis Italy is interested in expanding business cooperation with Kazakhstan – one of the most attractive countries in Central Asia from the viewpoint of GDP growth and rich mineral reserves. The geographic location of Kazakhstan is also advantageous: our republic connects the largest markets of China, Europe, Russia and CIS countries. This was noted at the press conference by Vice-President of the Association “Young Entrepreneurs of the Industry Confederation” Marco Oriole. He also stressed that the Italian business is ready to invest in joint development projects.
The visit of Italian businessmen, representing the Confederation of Italian Industry coincided with a significant date.
– This year we mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Kazakhstan, – said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to RK Alberto Pieri. – Cooperation with your country is important to us, including in economic sphere. In fact, today 75 percent of export products of Italy to Central Asia belong to Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh side was proposed cooperation by the Italian businessmen in several key areas: oil and gas, food, textile, furniture industry, production of luxuries and fashion industry.
The opportunities and prospects for such collaboration were discussed during the two day Kazakh-Italian business forum, the program of which was very rich and fruitful. Potential business projects were discussed by 150 companies – participants of the forum, and over three hundred meetings were held. The Kazakh side was represented by the state institutions, the largest Kazakh companies, domestic investment promotion agencies, as well as small and medium businesses.
During the visit an exhibition of Italian design in the hotel RIXOS, demonstrated the superiority of the brand “Made in Italy”. Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, it presented samples of products of this country, embodying all that is best in the Italian design, quality and technology. The guests of the exhibition with interest examined unusual and stylish interior, shiny red bike, illuminated mannequins and finishing materials for walls and floors, and many others. They once again made certain that the typical Italian ability to combine tradition and innovation is one of the reasons for the success of these products in the world. And their brands are deservedly associated with such concepts as style, creativity and quality of life.
