According to Kazakhstan Car Business Association, people in Kazakhstan bought 61.74% of all new cars sold in the country within the price range of 20 thousand US dollars in January-August 2012. At the same time, this figure rose by 2.74 percentage points compared to the same period in 2011, the report says.
There has been a trend of increasing demand for new cars costing under 20 thousand US dollars in Kazakhstan in January-August 2012, Interfax reported citing the press service of the Kazakhstan Car Business Association. Experts attributed this trend to the fact that budget car models have recently appeared in Kazakhstan. Today one can buy a new car assembled in Kazakhstan for 9-10 thousand US dollars. At the same time, the banks are more willing to grant loans for new cars. Apart from that, sales of new cars costing up to 50 thousand US dollars slightly increased during this period as well. There is a decline in demand for new cars in the higher price range.
