Kazakhstan wins first ever road race world title

Kazakhstan’s Alexey Lutsenko won the men’s Under-23 cycling world road race title in a 177-kilometre race in Valkenburg, Netherlands, on Saturday.
His result was 4 hours 20 minutes 15 seconds. This is the first victory in the history of Kazakhstan’s cycling at the world championships.
France’s Bryan Coquard finished second, and Tom Van Asbroeck of Belgium was third.
Alexey finished the race with triumph thanks to a powerful sprint finish and some excellent work by his teammates Arman Kamyshev, Daniil Fominykh, Vladislav Gorbunov, Nikita Umerbekov and Maksat Ayazbayev.
