Kazakh Defense Minister, US Central Command Commander-in-Chief met

Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has met with US Central Command Commander-in-chief General David Petraeus today; the Ministry’s press service said.
The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in training of military personnel, development of the military education system and other spheres.
As earlier reported, A. Dzhaksybekov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Kazakhstan Richard Hoagland where the parties discussed the issues of training of the Kazakhstani servicemen in different military educational institutions of the US Armed Forces.
Over 320 Kazakhstan’s servicemen were trained in the educational institutions of the US Armed Forces under the “International Military Education and Training” Program.
At the end of the meeting the Kazakh Minister emphasized that the USA and Kazakhstan have reached major progress in raising of professional level the military personnel and in other aspects of cooperation.
General David Petraeus expressed confidence in strengthening of mutual relations between Kazakhstan and the USA by means of dialogue and extension of mutual contacts.
