Ahead of eminent bankers

Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko has been included in the world rating of most effective leaders of the central banks, compiled by the international edition Global Finance since 1994. Personal rating of the chief banker of Kazakhstan is “B +”.
The scale of the Global Finance ranges from “A” to “F” and assesses the actions of the central bank (under the direction of its head) on a number of positions. At that, a number of indicators is taken into account, particularly such as control of inflation, exchange rate stability, efficiency of interest rates’ management. 50 central and national banks and the ECB were ranked on the scale of the Global Finance. The highest rating “A” was given to the heads of six Central Banks – Australia, Canada, Israel, Malaysia, Taiwan and the Philippines. Grigory Marchenko, making his debut in this ranking, left behind the chairmen of central banks of Singapore, South Korea and Japan, as well as the head of: the U.S Federal Reserve System Ben Bernanke, European Central Bank – Mario Draghi and the Bank of England – Mervyn King.
