Kazakh diplomat presented credentials to President of Vietnam

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to China and concurrently to Vietnam Nurlan Yermekbayev presented credentials to President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang.
During the talks after the ceremony, Truong Tan Sang congratulated the diplomat on appointment and wished success in promotion of Kazakh-Vietnamese cooperation. The sides discussed the status and prospects of multilateral development of bilateral relations. The President of Vietnam expressed hope for the successful implementation of the bilateral agreements in trade and economic area, exploration and development of oil and gas deposits, agriculture.
“We pay great attention to the development of trade and economic ties with Vietnam. We have much in common, similar development program till 2020,” the Kazakh Ambassador said.
According to him, Kazakhstan is planning to open its embassy in Vietnam next year.
The sides noted the high potential and prospects of further development of bilateral Kazakh-Vietnamese cooperation. “I hope that our cooperation will contribute to the realization of our development strategies – Strategy of Socio-Economic Development of Vietnam for 2011-2020, and the Development Strategy of Kazakhstan for 2010-2020,” Truong Tan Sang emphasized.
During the meeting the sides touched upon the opening of direct flights between our countries. “We hope that by the end of this year, we will open a direct flight that is to help increase the flow of tourists and investors in Vietnam,” Truong Tan Sang added. According to the Vietnamese leader, “this flight will be used as a new transit route to other countries.”

President of Vietnam to visit Kazakhstan in Sept

President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang will pay his first official visit to Kazakhstan in September 2012, according to the Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his Wednesday meeting with Kazakh Ambassador Nurlan Yermekbayev, President Truong Tan Sang said he is “looking forward to his visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. I hope that the mutual visits will give new impetus to development of relations in various fields.”
“The existing level of cooperation between our countries is a good gift for the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. I would like to emphasize that Vietnam attaches great importance to cooperation with traditional friends and partners. We have good mutual relations,” Truong Tan Sang noted.
The program of the President Sang’s visit to Kazakhstan will include a meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev, signing of several bilateral documents, including the adoption of the joint statement.
Astana will host a business forum with participation of representatives of the largest companies of Vietnam, as well as the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Vietnam in Kazakhstan.
