August 6. KAZINFORM. ASTANA
On August 6, Kazakhstan celebrated the sixth Olympic gold won by athlete Olga Rypakova at the London Olympics, according to the press service of the department of tourism, physical culture and sports of Astana.
“I would like to express my gratitude to entire Kazakhstan!” Olga told a press conference at the Kazakhstan’s media center in London.
“Now I do not know what to say, the excitement over the competition has not yet moved away, probably I have not yet fully realized. I’m very happy, very tired. The feelings will come later when I get home.
This is my finest hour. Indeed, there were difficulties, but all who were beside me, all believed saying that I can. I had an enormous responsibility on my shoulders, but I was told that I should not feel pressure, just do my job. I just did my job,” Rypakova said.
