Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Irfan-ur-Rehman Raja on Monday underlined great potential for Pakistani businessmen in the Central Asian states, particularly in Kazakhstan.
At a seminar on ‘Business Opportunities in Kazakhstan’, organised jointly by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry held at the FPCCI regional office, Raja said that Pakistan can exploit Kazakhstan’s markets by exporting products like footwear, gems and jewellery, fruits and vegetables, leather, etc.
“We only need to make interaction with each other.” He invited the business community to join the caravan scheduled to visit Kazakhstan in October. He assured that the government would support investors at every level. “Pakistan’s mission is to build a trade bridge between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.”
He stressed that misconceptions about the inefficiency of Pakistani missions abroad must be removed. FPCCI Punjab Vice President and Regional Chairman, Mian Muhammad Adrees pointed out reservations about the access route to the Kazakhstan market in less time. He expressed hope that the government would remove hurdles and provide a chance to capture the Kazakhstan market.
