Kazakhstan takes part in Milan’s BIT-2012 tourism exhibitionEuropean designers have taken interest in the art of Kazakh craftsmen. An international tourism exhibition, BIT-2012, has come to an end in Milan. Kazakhstan’s stand has attracted the attention of both participants and organizers for the second consecutive year. Marina Fracasso is one of admirers of the Kazakh arts and crafts. She bought the first felt products at last year’s exhibition.

Marina Fracasso said these beautiful jewelry and accessories are in fashion in Europe, because they are made of high quality felt and silk. So once the exhibition opened, the first thing she did was find Kazakhstan’s stand.

Claudia Sugliano

«I’ve been wanting to report a beautiful story about Astana for a long time so the people in Italy knew more about this city, which has developed miraculously and now it is one of the most modern and futuristic cities in the world.»

Dario Spelta

«I want to go to Kazakhstan on vacation next summer. I want to see Astana, Almaty, the Aral Sea, and so on.»

Consultants helped find a tour and book a hotel for everyone who wanted to visit Kazakhstan. In addition to Kazakhstan, 120 more countries presented their tourist opportunities at the BIT tourism fair.

Marco Serioli, Executive Director, Fiera Milano

«Despite a rather serious crisis in Europe, the exhibition features two thousand participants, who have concluded fifteen thousand contracts over these days. I think that Kazakhstan will be successful because the public is very interested in all new products in the tourist market, and you have a lot to offer.»

According to experts of tourist business, particular emphasis should be placed on areas with scenic beauty away from big cities. For example, Lake Como is very popular in Italy, especially among wealthy travelers. Here celebrities buy real estate, which further spurs the interest of tourists.
