B. Abilov and G.Yergaliyeva excluded from list of parliamentary candidates for undeclared income and property, CEC

At today’s meeting the Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan took a decision on exclusion of candidates for the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan from the earlier registered party lists for discrepancies in the information specified in their declarations with the tax agencies records.
The CEC decreed to insert the following amendments to the CEC resolution: to exclude Vladimir Bobrov from Nur Otan party list, Bulat Abilov and Gulzhan Yergaliyeva from the party list of the All-National Social DEcmocartic Party, Kuanysh Abuov from Auyl party list, Makhabbat Zhutayev from Adilet party list, Dauren Kaiiyp from the party list of the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan, said CEC secretary Bakhyt Meldeshev making public the draft resolution.

Above 800 int’l observers to monitor Kazakh Majilis elections

Today, two hours before the official completion of the accreditation the Kazakh CEC has accredited, as advised by the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, another 30 international observers to monitor the snap elections to the Kazakh Majilis and regular elections to the maslikhats, scheduled for January 15, 2012.
Thus, 819 international observers have been accredited so far, as advised by the Kazakh MFA, from 8 international organizations and 29 foreign states. Besides, the Foreign Ministry accredited 118 representatives of foreign media to observe the forthcoming elections.
