Kazakh gold/forex reserves fall to $28.8 bln in DecKazakhstan’s net gold and foreign currency reserves fell to $28.8 billion as of Dec. 31, 2011 from $31.6 billion on Nov. 30, the central bank said on Friday.

The bank said the Central Asian nation’s net gold and foreign currency reserves grew by 3.8 percent over the course of 2011.

The National Fund, replenished by windfall revenues from oil exports, totalled $43.7 billion as of Dec. 31, the bank said.

The central bank has provided the following data for its reserves since the end of 2008:
