Kazakhstan's inflation ratio stands at 6.5%Inflation in Kazakhstan has made up 6.5 percent since Jan. 1, Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov told at today’s Governmental meeting, Kazinform reported.

“Since the beginning of the year consumer and service prices have increased by 6.5 percent,” Kelimbetov added. “This index is by 0.3 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year.”

According to Kelimbetov, domestic price hikes follow world food and energy resources prices rise.

“Unless inflation rate exceeds 0.7 percent in November-December 2011, the overall index will not exceed 8 percent,” Kelimbetov added.

According to Kelimbetov, it is important to prevent price hikes in the last months of the year to fulfill the forecast corridor of inflation

“The Ministry of Agriculture and local executive authorities should take effective measures to ensure price stability in the domestic market. First of all for socially important food products,” Kelimbetov said.

“As initially estimated, Kazakhstan’s GDP grew by 7.2% for January-October 2011 against the same period of 2010,” Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov told at today’s Governmental meeting.

Kelimbetov says, Kazakh foreign trade turnover up 40% for 9 months

“For nine months of 2011 the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan grew more than 40%,” Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov stated at today’s meeting of the Kazakh Government in Astana.

“Real economy high growth rates along with the favorable foreign market environment contributed to increase in foreign trade turnover by 41.3% following the results of January-September this year to reach USD 91.9 bln,” the Minister said.

“For the past nine months goods export increased by 49.9% against the analogous period of 2010 and made USD 65.8 bln. The country’s import for 9 months rose by 23.5% to make USD 26.1 bln.”

Kazakhstan’s int’l reserves reached USD 75 bln, Kelimbetov

“International reserves of Kazakhstan rose by 26.6% for ten months of 2011 against the analogous period of 2010 to make USD 75 bln,”  Kazakh Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov told today the Government meeting in Astana.

“The National Fund foreign exchange assets increased by 44%,” he noted. “International reserves of the National Bank grew by 12.6% to make USD 32.6 bln.”

Kazakhstan increased goods export to CU

“Kazakhstan stepped up export of its goods to the member countries of the Customs Union,” Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov said today in Astana.

“For the past nine months the country’s export to Russia increased by 48%. The mutual sales with the Customs Union countries grew by 42.6%, including export by 53.3%, import by 43.0%,” the Minister added.

Real earnings grew by 6.8% for 9 months, Kazakh Minister

“For the past nine months the real money income in Kazakhstan rose by 6.8%, actual wages by 5.5%,” Kazakh Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov told today the Government meeting in Astana.

However, according to him, there is a visible growth in consumer demand due to easing of the situation at the labor market. “The unemployment level made 5.3% October this year that is 0.2% less against last October,” Kelimbetov resumed.
