N.Nazarbayev: Kazakhstan and Vietnam - states developing with great successWithin an official visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam there have been started negotiations in the enlarged format.

“We see here kind hospitality. Our two states are developing with great success over a short time. We have similar positions in the political and economic development. Now there is a chance to improve trade-economic ties,” President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Kazakhstan and Vietnam have agreed on trade turnover increase. President Nursultan Nazarbayev noted after the Kazakh-Vietnamese negotiations in Hanoi.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked the Vietnamese side for hospitality. “This is my first historic visit to your country,” N. Nazarbayev said.

The Kazakh President outlined dynamical growth of Vietnam’s economy. “In recent years economy, industrialization rates and people’s welfare increased by 3.5 times,” he emphasized.

Kazakhstan considers Vietnam as an important partner in South-East Asia. “We have no outstanding questions. We are ready to cooperate in all directions,” the President of Kazakhstan announced. “We have clearly defined priorities of our further cooperation,” N.Nazarbayev noted.

The President emphasized that we have many similar positions, and within the visit there were created conditions for further cooperation. According to him, in the future the Kazakh Embassy will be opened in Hanoi.

N.Nazarbayev noted that a business forum which will be held in Hanoi is a good platform for development of trade-economic and investment cooperation.

The President outlined that the two countries agreed on increase of trade turnover and establishing the Business Council.

President Nazarbayev invited Vietnamese businessmen to partake in Kazakhstan’s industrialization

“Historical sympathy for each other and striving for development of closer interaction unite the peoples of our countries,” Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has noted after the Kazakh-Vietnamese negotiations in Hanoi.

“First of all, it is necessary to develop trade, trade turnover between our countries. Today we have talked about it in details. I believe that business forum which will be held today will create a good basis,” N.Nazarbayev emphasized.

The President invited the Vietnamese businessmen to participate in the industrial program. “We create exceptional conditions for investors,” he noted.

“Establishing the Customs Union, Single Economic Space between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan gives opportunity to distribute and open markets in all three countries,” N.Nazarbayev emphasized.

Following results of the negotiations the sides agreed on cooperation in the sphere of industry and innovations, electronic engineering industry, agriculture, textile field and on other directions. “I consider the negotiations were fruitful, confident and friendly. This demonstrates prospects of our future cooperation in all directions,” the President noted.

The President thanked the Vietnamese side for the high level of the organization visit.

“We are very pleased to welcome you on an official visit to Vietnam. We have long awaited your first official visit to our country. I am convinced that this visit will give a new impetus to development of relations between our countries. I would like to discuss some issues with you in the narrow format. We have excellent diplomatic relations, hence we should develop, first of all, trade-economic and investment relations between the two states,” the President of Vietnam said.

Kazakhstan interested in nuclear fuel exports to Vietnam

Kazakhstan is interested in long-term supplies of nuclear fuel to Vietnam and in participation in constructing nuclear power plants in this country, the press service of Kazakh president said on Monday.

“Kazakhstan is ready to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in the modernization of the industrial complex and in oil and gas industry,” the report said. “Astana is interested in long-term supplies of nuclear fuel to Vietnam and in participation in constructing nuclear power plants.”

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev is in Vietnam on the first official visit.

The countries signed agreements on double taxation avoiding, cooperation in the field of civil aviation, tourism, education and mutual legal assistance in civil and commercial matters were signed as a result of negotiation in presence of Nazarbayev and the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Shang.

The possibility of opening direct flights between the biggest economic and financial centers of two states – Almaty and Ho Chi Minh were also discussed during the meeting.
