Nazarbayev: Obama’s visit to Russia good opportunity for holding consultations on reduction of mass destruction weapons

Issues of bilateral relations as well as the forthcoming visit of the USA President Barack Obama  to the Russian Federation were discussed at a meeting of Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev with Chairman of a subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Eni F.H. Faleomavaega in Astana today, Kazinform reports.

“We highly appreciate Kazakhstan President’s viewpoint regarding the problems in the Central Asian region”, Eni F.H. Faleomavaega said.

He also reminded of preparation of B. Obama’s visit to Russia. According to him, N. Nazarbayev pointed that it was “good time for carrying out such top-level meeting with President B. Obama for discussing reduction of mass destruction weapons”.

The parties also focused on the mutual relations with Russia which influence the situation in the world.
