Exhibition of Chinese products turned into important platform for trade-economic coopThe exhibition of Chinese products has already turned into an important platform of trade-economic cooperation for China and Central Asian region. Deputy Head of the Foreign Trade Department of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce U Tondyao has said it today at a press conference devoted to the forthcoming exhibition at Atakent-EXPO International Exhibition Centre today. The event is scheduled for May 18-21.

“The exhibition provides a good opportunity for the businessmen of Kazakhstan and other CA states for familiarization with the Chinese enterprises and their products, holding business negotiations. The event will not only promote development of trade but will also stimulate investment cooperation”, the representative of the PRC said.

The exhibition will showcase three specialized categories of goods – machines and machinery-technical products, construction materials, consumer products and electrical goods. Over 250 best companies from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and other provinces of China will present their products at the event. A business meeting of the Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs will take place within the exhibition.

According to Vice President of Kazakhstan’s Commerce and Industry Chamber Tatyana Zhdanova, establishment of the Customs Union led to increase in prices for many Chinese goods. In this case creation of joint Kazakh-Chinese enterprises becomes more profitable because CU’s consumer market makes 170 mln people. “The Commerce and Industry Chamber considers China as a large market for our domestic products. For example, products of Rakhat JSC and Raimbek Bottlers are in great demand in China”, T. Zhdanova said. She reminded that in September 2011 the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region would host the 1st International Exhibition “Eurasia-PRC-EXPO”. “We will exert every effort to worthily represent our country at this event”, Zhdanova added.
