Indian businessmen interested in Kazakhstan's forced industrial-innovative development programA Kazakh-Indian Business Forum was held within the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical and Cultural Cooperation in New Delhi.

Representatives of official and business communities of Kazakhstan and India participated in the event.

The Indian side was represented by the heads of large companies specializing in healthcare, chemical industry, metallurgy, engineering, energy and construction sectors, namely by RIG, Krauter Healthcare Ltd., Yamuna Power And Infrastructure Ltd., Ptc India Ltd., EMCO Ltd and other companies.

From the Kazakh side the event was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the Ministry of Oil and Gas as well as SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund JSC, KazMunayGas JSC, Kaspiy Social-Entrepreneurship Corporation NC JSC, Pharmacy-SK LLP, Samruk-Energo JSC and KazNex Invest JSC.

The Kazakh delegation informed of the main provisions of the country’s new industrial policy and the plans on development of Kazakhstan’s priority sectors within the Forced Industrial Innovative Development Program. In particular, the members of the delegation touched upon the issues of development of traditional and alternative electric power, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Indian representatives expressed interest in the materials presented by Kazakhstan, in particular, the investment climate in our country, development of free economic zones, tax and customs preferences provided for stimulating investment activity.

The meeting was organized by the Committee of Investments of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Kazakhstan together with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
