Kazakhstani athletes’ won first medals at Guangzhou Asian Games

Kazakhstani athletes have won first medals at the XVI Asian Games taking place in Guangzhou.
On Saturday, November 13 Maxim Rakov and Galiya Ulmentayeva won bronze in men (up to 100 kg) and women (up to 78 kg) weightlifting competitions.
Zulfiya Chinashanlo won silver medal in weightlifting in the category up to 53 kg on Sunday, November 14. Judoka Islam Bozbayev, triathlonist Dmitry Gaag and the Kazakh dance team brought bronze medals as well.
China leads the overall team standings. The Chinese team has 63 medals, including 24 gold medals. Japan and South Korea are second and third correspondingly. Kazakhstan takes tenth place with one silver and six bronze.
Vladislav Polyakov wins ‘silver’ at Asian Games in Guangzhou

Kazakhstani Vladislav Polyakov has won today silver medal at the 16th Asian Games that are held in Guangzhou.
V. Polyakov finished second in swimming, 100 meters breaststroke.
Kazakhstan has now four silver medals and seven bronze medals. China leads all the rest having won now at the Games 88 medals and 50 of them are gold ones. South Korea (47 -18) and Japan (58-13) follow the leader.
