Kazakhstan Part Company With Head Coach Bernd Storck
The Football Federation of Kazakhstan (FFK) has made the decision to part company with national team coach Bernd Storck after the German gaffer failed to meet the FFK’s objectives, if a report in Bild is to be believed.
Kazakhstan’s football governing body had set a target of collecting three points from the opening four games of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, but the Kazaks were beaten by Germany, Belgium, Austria and Turkey.
Therefore, the FFK has made the decision not to offer Storck a contract extension. The 47-year-old coach’s previous deal with Kazakhstan was due to expire in December 2010.
Storck started working as Kazakhstan coach in the summer of 2008, but failed to record any remarkable results with the national side.
