Tokyo hosts session of Kazakh-Japanese joint committee of governmental and private sectors

There was held the second session of the joint committee of governmental and private sectors of Kazakhstan and Japan for economic cooperation with participation of large corporations, financial establishments and development institutions as well as representatives of small and medium business of the two countries in Tokyo.
The Kazakh delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Nurmukhambet Abdibekov, the Japanese one – by Vice-Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Hideichi Okada; the Kazakh MFA’s press service reports.
The sides discussed issues of bilateral trade-economic, investment and innovative-technological cooperation, considered prospects of direct investments attraction for projects implementation in Kazakhstan on elaboration of natural resources, rare and rare-earth metals as well as in the sphere of atomic industry, petrochemistry, construction, agriculture, and etc.
The Kazakh delegation presented new infrastructural and investment projects, including within the State Program of Forced Industrial and Innovative Development.
Following the results of the session there was signed a memorandum with the annex of the Action Plan on activation of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.
The Kazakh and Japanese companies and departments reached nine memorandums of cooperation.
